Are involved and empowered

Children and young people are involved and empowered. This means you contribute positively at home, at school and in your communities. You have a right to take care for land and nature. You have a right for your voice and opinions to be listened to and taken into account. You should be supported to be more independent as you get older, and to be a responsible citizen. You and your whānau must be supported to make healthy choices around relationships, sexual health, alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
