Case study: Listening to young New Zealanders

A case study of engaging with young people on viewing sexual violence in entertainment media.

The data was gathered using focus groups of young people and separate discussions with adults working in relevant fields; lastly, paired interviews of young people who knew each other were conducted by ‘youth adjacent’ interviewers.

The data informed a major research and consultation project, Young New Zealanders Viewing Sexual Violence.
