The Children’s Commissioner – now and into the future
The OCC has been thinking about the role of our organisation, how it has developed over the past 30 years, and how it might evolve to be even more effective for children in the future. This document is intended as a provocation, to get us all thinking about what will best meet the needs of children in New Zealand.
OCC provided this document to the Minister for Social Development to contribute to thinking about the Independent oversight of children's issues and the Oranga Tamariki system currently underway.
